Sunday Spotlight - Father's Day 2012

Happy Father's Day
Daddy!
And Happy Father's Day
Grandpa Jim!

And Happy Father's Day
Grandpa Gary!

(if our internet was working a bit better...
and I wasn't leaving for training tomorrow
in Florida...and not packed...
I might have some fun stories
to share about these three dads.)
But instead I'll just be short and sweet...
and remind you all how much you are loved.

We did it!

We raised $1000.00...(can we we hear a WOOT WOOT!)
catapulted past our $500 goal by wonderful friends and family!
 $22,000.00 raised in total !
It was wonderful to see other families like ours...
who are struggling with the same issues.
And to know that someday
there will answers.
We were missing some very important team members..
due to illness.
But Sam, Karyn and Korbyn were with us in spirit..
and next year will be walking along beside the BLT (and C!).
The walking trail was gorgeous and paved...
and we did it - we walked the entire thing - all of us!
Miss Rae was her usual happy self...
and enjoyed the ride.
Ayden had a blast trying out all the great equipment
at Penquin Park.
These three had an excellent time together.
They were actually quite wonderful all weekend.
We all fought over who got to hold "baby Rae".

Thank you Clark family...
for your time and generosity.
And for your love.
we love you so very much!

It was a great weekend.

We celebrated Alec's gotcha day #3 at
Boling's...
just like we did all the years
we waited for these 3 to come home.
And of course...
we did a little shopping...
we did a little painting...
and survived a night in a hotel room!

GREAT STEPS for NF
is now a tradition
for this family.
And something we will look forward to..
for years to come.
Until they find a CURE!

GREAT STEPS for NF 2012

We are thrilled to be participating in GREAT STEPS for NF 2012 at Penguin Park in Kansas City, MO Saturday June 9, 2012 at 9AM.

(And we have already catapulted past our goal!!  WOO HOO!!!!
Thank you thank you friends and family!)

The money raised on this walk will help fund research to find a cure for this disease. As you probably know Ava and Alec have Neurofibromatosis 1 (NF1). NF1 is a genetic disorder of the nervous system that causes tumors to form on the nerves ANYWHERE in the body at any time. Ava has been diagnosed with a optic glioma (tumor on the optic nerve) which seems to be unchanging at this moment - but she has endured 9 brain MRIs just to monitor that - with many, many more in her future.

There is no cure YET. But you can help us on this journey to find that cure. Just click on the link below to learn more about this great event and cause.
We thank you for your support!

NEUROFIBROMATOSIS INC

Chicago, IL | EIN: 04-3030760

Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that can cause tumors to form on the nerves anywhere in the body at any time. NF is associated with disfigurement, learning disabilities, deafness, vision impairment, epilepsy and cancer. At this time, there is no effective treatment or cure for NF. NF affects three times as many people as muscular dystrophy and cystic fibrosis combined, yet many people have never even heard of it. The mission of the NF Network is to find treatments and a cure for neurofibromatosis by promoting scientific research, improving clinical care, providing outreach through education and awareness, while offering hope and support to those affected by NF. The funds that are donated through this page enable the NF Network to continue and further our mission. The NF Network is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. For more information visit our website at www.nfnetwork.org

Ava & Alec Bryant

Thank you for visiting our NF1 fundraising page! With your help we are positive that research will find a cure for NF1.
Every day we are reminded that NF1 could be silently causing problems for our children...and we appreciate your help in finding treatments to alleviate the pain and disfigurement caused by this very evasive disease.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Sunday Spotlight - random

Random pictures...
from this weekend and last weekend...
no cropping or fixing...
cause I am tired!
The swimming pool steps...
work EXCELLENT with the new deck that Grandpa built...
from lumber from the Clark deck fiasco!
Score!
TBall Friday night was super fun.
 Alec chills out....
while the other two show their stuff!
 Ava is tiny...
but mighty!
Daddy helps out....
which the kids adore.
Ayden had his best friend Walker over for a birthday playdate.
Fun times!
Ava went to her first birthday party...
by herself.
She is a good friend...
I was very very proud of her.
And she had a fabulous time.
The rest of my favorite birthday party festivity pictures
are going on Suzae Reflections...
but due to the true hilarity of this one...
it needed to be on the Sunday Spotlight.
Note the graceful, athletic posture of my girls...
and the absolute fear on the face of the mom.
My..oh my....
