Silver Dollar City - finally!

 We have owed Ayden a trip to Branson since last school year!

 So we took the opportunity of a relatively nice weekend in October...

 to roadtrip down to Branson with the camper.

 It was cool - almost cold - and very crowded.

 But super fun anyway!

 These 3 loved it all.

 We rode the train of course...

 and the entertainment was as hillbilly as ever...

but much adored by these three!

 We did have to cuddle a little to stay warm..

but that was OK by me. 

 All 3 were brave enough to try the roller coaster...

although Alec told me it made him a  little "bizzy".

and this was the last ride he rode...

he has decided he is "bery" scared of heights too.

It was a super fun weekend!

One that we will remember fondly I do believe.

And one that we will repeat!

Sunday Spotlight - the big FIVE "0"

 What a super fun 50th birthday!!

(and I gotta admit...

I was not looking forward to it!)

Who looks forward to turning 50 anyway?????

 But a surprise trip by these 3...

 and a gorgeous fall day..

complete with soccer..

a wonderful church service...

 yummy cake, dips, and FFA barbeque...

 made it just about perfect!

 The only thing (or rather person)

missing was Karyn...

who was surprising her grandma for her 

birthday in Illinois!

 It was a thumbs up day!

 Yesterday afternoon we completely 

enjoyed a party at the lake.

(Cathedral cove!)

 It was a beautiful evening for hiking...

and eating smores...

in celebration of numerous October birthdays!

 (building the perfect fire!)

It really was a perfect birthday weekend.

I feel a little older I must admit.

But most of all...

I feel completely loved.

Thank you sweet family...

for making me feel very special.
