Sunday Spotlight - September 22, 2008 Gotcha FOREVER

 We celebrated the day away today!

Remembering tidbits from that monumental day 5 years ago..

when this amazing boy became our son...

forever.

 He was especially sweet today...

enjoying his special day...

and reminded me SO much of that

funny little 2 year old 

who spoke to me in his darling French Creole accent...

and ate only oatmeal for days!

 Still just as funny...

and smart...

with a memory for facts,dates and figures.

And an intense love of all things..

sports. (especially FOOTBALL!)

 This guy is sensitive.

And energetic.

And intensely athletic...

with a flair for the dramatic.

 He is my beautiful boy....

who also likes to push my buttons...

and try my temper...

and then in the very next second...

 melt my heart.

I love you my Ayden Louiskenson.

And I am so glad you enjoyed our attempt

to cook you a Haitian meal tonite!

Haitian fried chicken, Haitian Macaroni Au Gratin...

and Haitian cake! 

Great game of soccer too my son!

(So glad you remembered you had a game...

since the parents completely forgot!)

Korbyn is 4!!!

 Your princess party was filled with family and friends...

face painting and tatoos.

 Snow White even made a special appearance!

 You had presents...of course!

 Yummy cake and cookies baked with love.

Crown shaped sandwiches...

and pink and yellow lemonade!

 Pinata, bounce house, bubbles...

 and fun!

 This gang had a seriously fabulous time...

 I know Korbyn had the best party ever...

And the best gift a girl could wish for..

her very own puppy!

Batman aka Ironman aka Avenger

 Our costume box is well used.

 They all spend alot of time in costume...

but Alec and Korbyn are definitely our

most heavily costumed.

Korbyn is always the princess...

and Alec the rescuer!

 Today it was fun to listen to our boys...

playing super heroes together!

 We tried to stay unplugged today...

not much TV.

Lots of playing.

Together.

And it worked.

It was a day of loudness.

Lots of laughing...screaming.

One accident. (no ER visit)

and lots of fun.

And mom and dad made jelly.

Kinda like old times!

We celebrated a bit with the Grandparents...

on this Grandparents Day 2013...

hoping they enjoy their mums...

and homemade cards.

Labor Day weekend 2013

It was a whirlwind week..

with momma gone to Indianapolis...

and Dad holding down the fort.

 

They did great as usual!

 

This Labor Day weekend..

we did a bit a labor around this house...

fixing up Alec's room..

and sorting through toys.

 

Ava was trying to recover from a cold..

that kicked her asthma

into overdrive.

 

So it was good to stay close to home.

I didn't even break out the camera..

just got a few fun shots on my phone.

 

We did venture out on Monday...

Ava was feeling much better...

to catch lunch at Fuji!

 

They kinda liked it!

And then we caught a movie!

We actually saw "Planes"...

but we loved this advertisement for

"Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs!"
