Happy Birthday spotlight!

I think I have been in blogger slump. I missed some fun times and great pictures - so this is a very long post - heavy on the pictures!
Grandpa Jim had a wonderful birthday dinner cooked by his wonderful daughter Barb (thank you BARB!!) on his Valentines Day birthday!
The kids had a wonderful time and I think so did the grandparents!Grandpa Gary and Grandma Pat got home from their roadtrip to Florida! We missed them!
They had a great trip....alligators and all!
We celebrated Alec a bit the night before his birthday weekend since they were once again roadtripping to Springfield for a swim meet (Go Lucy and JP!) on the day we planned the big celebration!
We love those piggy banks!
And something interesting has happened to Alec this past week....he has dramatically "come out of his shell." He is talking, laughing and just generally being WAY more outgoing. He is also being a terrible 2. Oh my is he ever..
Saturday was FUN STUFF! Aaron and Erin came home....and we had a BIRTHDAY PARTY!Alec thinks "boy" Aaron is the best.
Korbyn was her usual hilarious self. She was also VERY excited to see Mr. & Mrs. Clark.
She was super interested in getting really close to everyone's face."Boy Aaron" was loved on completely by all the little people. And then came the Thomas the Train party! Cake decoration compliments of "girl" Erin!
Alec didn't quite know what to think.
but Ayden was glad to assist.
Taking a little break from the festivities.

Finding some interesting uses for all his Thomas tracks!

And today....on his official birthday....we went to church...and then roadtripped to Columbia for tuxedo fittings and shopping! Ayden is so very excited about his tuxedo.
He was one of the most excited clients this men's store has ever had!
We had a great time shopping - the kids were really good...and we accomplished everything on our list. We missed Korbyn - but she had a great afternoon with her Granny...
Alec was a bit "crabby" at dinner...but brightened up for his cake.
Both boys fell asleep on the way home...Ayden was singing, singing, singing and then suddenly was no longer singing. Fast asleep!
We thought Ava was sleeping too....we could hear snoring. Loud snoring. In fact after about 10 minutes of the loud snoring I asked Ali to make sure her coat wasn't over her face or something. When Ali reached over - Ava grabbed her finger and smiled HUGE! She was faking that whole time!! In fact - she continued to fake snore the rest of the way home (about 30 minutes)!
What a nut. So fun to see their sense of humor's developing....Ayden was a hoot all day as well.
All in all - a wonderful weekend of family, friends, yummy food...and happy times.
And our zany, happy Alec is 2 years old.
Happy Birthday sweet Al! We love you!
